Watercolor and Mixed Media: Something New and Exciting! April 23, 2011 with Ellen Koment

Ellen Koment recently had a major one woman show of her encaustic paintings at the Box Gallery in Santa Fe,and is a member of the art faculty at SFCC, a graduate of Cooper Art SChool in NYC, and has a Masters degree in painting from UC Berkeley. She has shown her work nationally for over 25 years nationally for over 25 years.

After teaching watercolor  for five years, and encaustic for many more, I have found some very exciting ways to pull them together! This is mostly about watercolor, includes wax as well as a number of other materials.  We will be working on paper, a materials list will be sent upon registration.

Take the opportunity to visit beautiful Santa Fe, see the spectacular skies, mountains, and over 200 galleries, while you are able to learn, or learn more about, Wax Encaustic Painting with Ellen Koment.

Because these are all small workshops, I am able to give each student a great deal of individual attention, and have found that there is no problem in having students from those beginning in encaustic to those who are more advanced in the same workshop, although there are now also workshops designed for more experienced encaustic artists. All Santa Fe workshops are held in the artist’s studio, near downtown Santa Fe, New Mexico

You can register for a workshop by contacting us at airstudio@copper.net, or calling 505-501-4620.

Please call or email with any questions. We can provide you with travel info and details about the workshops.
