Summer Arts in Santa Fe - Intensive Monotype with Alan May August 8-12, 2011
This intensive, in-depth 5 day course will cover the history, techniques and reasons for making monotype prints. Each all-day session will be divided between demonstrations and supervised work time. Updated methods for a wide variety of traditional techniques will be presented along with new experimental directions. The purpose of the class is not to produce instant masterpieces, but rather for each student to become familiar and comfortable with a wide variety of monotype techniques.
