Artists, students, come and spend 3 wonderful days focusing on a thematic project with artist, Diane Rolnick, who will give you direction, inspiration, and facilitate ideas or technical advice as you develop a series or body of work.
Working in paint (oil, acrylic, watercolor), mixed-media (photography, collage, acrylic grounds, assemblage), drawing mediums, (pastel, charcoal, pencil), or any combination of media, each student will develop a focused body of work that could progress to new inspirations or deeper understanding of recurring ideas- a evolution and revolution of ideas.
Come to the first class with an intent that may be the germ of an idea something you have be interested in investigating or concepts that have been occupying your current work. Bring whatever materials you need to begin that may include resource information such as images, photos, writing, sketches or older work.Think about what structural supports that would be suitable for your ideas. Out of town artists can buy supplies here or send them to me for convenience.
