Workshop participants will be instructed in techniques that allow them to leave fixed patterns behind, to become one with the flowing art of painting on silk, thereby creating uniquely personal and original work that speaks from the soul. You will have the opportunity to create two, 18×24 floating silk panels in this three-day workshop. Soy wax will be used as the resist to create interesting borders and designs that are simple yet appear complex.You will learn the concept of layering color to create a harmonious feeling within a painting. All your supplies are provided and are as non-toxic, earth friendly as possible
