Alex Pattakos, author of the internationally acclaimed, Prisoners of Our Thoughts, focused his address,
“Discovering the Deeper Meaning of Tourism,” upon his well-documented assertion that, “The search for meaning is a megatrend of the 21st century.”
In his summary, Pattakos argued,
“This meaning-focused megatrend can also be applied to the cultivation of creative economies. In this connection, the tourism sector offers unlimited possibilities in the design and delivery to be authentically creative and meaningful.”
