Decorative Painting with Milk Paint NEW / October 2nd, 2011

Milk paint is a durable, non-fading, non-toxic, waterbased paint that adheres beautifully to porous surfaces such as wood. Rich earth colors can be used to highlight traditional as well as contemporary designs. This workshop will cover preparing the surface, mixing and applying milk paint, burnishing, texturing and other decorative techniques and clear coating. In addition to samples, students will finish a wooden coat hanger. Doug Jones has a Master of Fine Arts degree from Rhode Island School of Design and exhibits around the United States.
