Map and GPS with Karen Denison / November 2nd, 2011

GPS technology has permeated modern life and changed the way some of us hike. Learn how it can be used in conjuction with more traditional navigation skills. In this two-session workshop, hone your old-style map-reading skills, learn GPS skills and practice your new-found skills during an all-day field trip (moderate off-trail walking). Two sessions allow more time for concepts to settle in, for questions, and for you to feel more confident. Suitable for new GPS owners, those still shopping, and those with more experience.

GPS units supplied for class or bring your own.
