A life-long professional artist, 30 years of it in NM, William Preston now interprets the familiar landscape of New Mexico in sumi-e and Chinese watercolor on rice paper.
Enjoy a day learning to use sumi ink and brush on rice paper, exploring basic techniques and how Mr. Preston interprets Southwest Flora and the landscape with an ancient Oriental traditional art form. Classes are held in the main room of his authentic old adobe in Pojoaque and homemade lunch is included.
This former oil landscape painter now works solely in ink and brush (and Chinese watercolor) on rice paper and is considered a master in his field.
All materials are provided.
