This workshop concentrates on essential survival skills in the wilderness. Students build and expand their mental focus, physical skills and planning for the outdoors. Examples are cited from real-life situations, some where people survived and others where they did not. The morning is spent in discussion on avoiding hazards, handling hazards, weather signs, orienting and attention to anxieties. After lunch, the hike will put newly found knowledge and insights into practice.
