It’s been a beautiful summer in Santa Fe, NM, and September has been no exception. Come celebrate the waning days of summer at our last Sevillanas is on September 23rd! Artists of all levels gather to sing and dance accompanied by guitarist Jaime Martinez. Bring your castanets, wear a traje, and come share your love of Spanish Dance in a casual, festive, party environment. Produced by Julia Chacon and Teresa Neptune.
Julia Chacon directs the troup Inspiracion Flamenca and tours internationally with New York based Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana. In the last year she performed in 17 cities and touched the lives of over 1,000 students. She teaches and lives in Santa Fe and was a principal dancer with Maria Benitez’ Teatro Flamenco.
Photographer Teresa Neptune has published two books, Mirare and Flooded Desert. The NY Times called her photos “gorgeous images,” and ,”the best show [in Santa Fe].” Her work is in the permanent collection of the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington DC.
