My studio is in an adobe house on 4 acres with views of the Cerrillos Hills. I specialize in hand painting colorful pottery with underglazes–with whimsical cats, birds, pigs, cowgirls and more. There’s a small kiln and slab roller, and I make pottery by shaping slabs of earthenware…on dinnerware.
Lesson possibilities include: Making and painting press-mold plates with underglazes; Painting commercial tiles and bisque with underglazes; Christmas ornaments; or creating a personalized hanging birdfeeder.
Workshops can be tailored to your time constraints; they can be for a few days, or for as little as two hours. I’ll be there to assist the entire time, and most supplies and firings are included.
