The Santa Fe School of Weaving provides an oasis of creative energy in downtown Santa Fe, New Mexico. We offer a wide variety of classes in textile arts designed to nurture your creative being. Learn color, form and texture in a relaxing and inspiring environment. Our small class sizes guarantee that instructors are available to guide you on your creative path through the fiber arts.
The classes are small, 2 -3 students. For new as well as students, who wish to explore further weave structures and interesting color and texture compositions. Lots of individual attention, focusing on composition and technique. All are wellcome !
I (Miriam Leth-Espensen) teach everything except tapestry. I mix new with advancing students, because I believe we all learn from each other, and sometimes we forget. Thus new students provide opportunity for review, and experienced students inspire new ideas. You are welcome to see what we are doing, so please stop in.
We also carry a great selection of exciting yarns and essential supplies. Wool, alpaca, mohair, cotton, linen, and rayon chenille yarns are all available. We carry Leclerc and Harrisville looms, Ashford spinning wheels and all the tools you need to spin, weave or knit your dream.
