Paint the landscape outside from September 24th – 28th, 2012 in Taos, New Mexico with award-winning painter and popular Santa Fe teacher Jakki Kouffman. Enjoy painting in high mountain meadows and along deep river gorges when the aspens and the cottonwoods are approaching full color. Taos is a historic art town that has inspired artists for generations. You will be moved by the diversity of painting spots each day while increasing your painting skills, followed by a well-earned retreat with new art friends to one of the fine local eateries.
Jakki Kouffman specializes in both acrylic and pastel painting. Artists working in watercolor, gouache, water-soluble oil or traditional oil paint are welcome to join. Both brush painting and knife painting techniques will be encouraged. Daily individual critiques in the field will be accompanied by late afternoon indoor group discussions at the workshop hotel, the Sagebrush Inn. Painters working in all styles and at all skill levels are invited to participate.
