
Caroline Couret, cofounder and manager of the Creative Tourism Network, was born in France where she graduated with a degree in Management of Culture and carried out postgraduate studies in Cultural Policies by the University of Burgundy.
Since 2005, she has run the Barcelona Creative Tourism program. Since 2002, she has run the International Department of Fundació Societat i Cultura – FUSIC foundation – settled in Barcelona. She is regularly invited to speak in conferences and to publish articles for professional journals.
Before establishing herself in Barcelona, she collaborated with festival organizations including Festival International de Cinéma de Cannes and Festival de Théâtre d’Avignon, as well as various projects in the USA, Mexico and Morocco.
She speaks French, Catalan, Spanish, English and Italian.

Since the 2008 UNESCO International Conference on Creative Tourism, Santa Fe has been actively engaged in monitoring the evolution of creative tourism internationally and in building an infrastructure for gleaning the economic benefits of creative tourism. This Webinar will continue the conversation begun in 2008. Invited participants include speakers and attendees from the 2008 Conference as well as representatives of cities and countries which currently offer creative tourism experiences. Specifically our goal is to identify best practices in creative tourism that have enhanced local economies. Our focus will be on what’s been happening in creative tourism worldwide and what results have been produce
