As a signature member of the Pastel Society of America and the Plein Air Painters of New Mexico, Mike is the perfect instructor to advance your painting skills while visiting The Land of Enchantment. Painting Northern New Mexico has always been Mike’s passion, and as a resident of Santa Fe, he can show you the pleasures of painting “The City Different.”
The workshop will be conducted in a beautiful loft over looking the historic Santa Fe Plaza on San Francisco Street. We will paint the plaza, along Canyon Road and other locations around Santa Fe. All mediums are welcome.
This is a beginner-friendly workshop! You will learn how a systematic approach to painting will help free you from not being familiar with your materials or technique. I recommend pastel rather than oil or acrylic for beginners. Since so much of the information in the workshop is new, even for experienced painters, it will be a challenging learning experience for all.
