Dean Howell, celebrated fine local artist/sculptor and Thor Sigstedt, local artist/sculptor/builder/craftsman…..are joining again for the third time to have a raku workshop that celebrates the wonderful experience of working in raku style, which is known for being able to allow even beginners to experience the joy of creating and firing something they have made in this unique and simple, hands on style of ceramic work. The pieces are created in Dean’s studio to begin with and then fired at Thor’s ranch in “Lower Canoncity”, 82 Spirit Valley, on the Galisteo Creek in a lovely ranch oasis setting, then an exhibition/party at the end at Dean’s studio. Great for both beginners and professionals with guidance and expertise from the artists.
