Have you always wanted to weave on a many shaft loom? Not sure how to get started? Then this class is the class for you. We will begin with an easy straight draw threading on 8 shafts (threaded 1-8) and explore the options with just that threading. At the end of class you will have a scarf which can be woven as a sampler or with the treadling you like the most. The class will be a mix of sampling, design, and weaving on 8 shaft looms. The design portion will discuss the different ways you can modify a draft to realize an idea. The weaving will explore the different patterns available on an 8 shaft straight draw. Many weavers thread multi shaft looms with just a straight draw or a point draw as the options are endless.
