This talk features tapestries of Robin Reider and other leading tapestry artists from New Mexico during the past 30 years. Come see the wide variety of possibilities of tapestries that can be woven using geometric and asymmetrical shapes, moving from Rio Grande designs to unique interpretations of shapes into abstract and realistic pictorial tapestries. Travel through a plethora of color gradations and blends juxtaposed in subtle or brilliant shading techniques. These colors are obtained through both natural and synthetic dyes, using many local and imported dye plants. Come and spend an hour taking a visual trip through colors, shapes and possibilities for your future tapestries.
