About Lynda: Lead Ceramics Instructor; Adult, PAACE & Children’s Programs
Lynda was born in 1958, raised in New Jersey in the 1970’s. In 1976 she graduated high school and started clay work at the Philadelphia College of Art. From 1976-1981, she studied art and environmental studies at Antioch College in Yellow Springs Ohio. From 1978 – 1979 I studied spanish and backstrap weaving in Guatemala. In 1979 she then studied ceramics, kiln building and Art History at the University of Iowa. From 1981-1984, she taught Spanish and Ceramics at The Stowe School in Stowe VT, (a private High School). In 1988 she worked and taught handbuilding in clay at the Pottery NW in Seattle. From 1989 to current she has been a full time potter in Santa Fe living in Glorieta, NM. Exhibiting in National Retail Art Shows from 1987-2002. She is a a full time member of the Northern New Mexico Fine arts and crafts guild in Santa Fe. The group runs 3 juried fine arts and craft fairs in the summer in Santa Fe.
