Beginning Flamenco / begins Monday October 22, 2012
This is a beginning flamenco dance class, designed to broaden the student’s awareness of the art of flamenco and to develop basic technique to pursue further study. Students will learn beginning flamenco positions along with proper alignment and spatial awareness. You will also learn flamenco vocabulary in English and Spanish and acquire a musical sensitivity and an ability to accurately perform to a variety of rhythmic patterns. All four Sevillanas (Andalucia folklore dance) will be taught. Charo Shaffer-Perez has performed professionally on tablao, stage, film and TV in Puerto Rico, Mexico andthe United States.
