Fine-Art Digital Printmaking / November 12-16, 2012
Learn how to obtain consistent high-quality print output for your color and black-and-white photographic images in this combination workshop that goes out in the field and gives you hands-on experience in a digital lab environment. Internationally renowned master printer and photographer Tony Bonanno takes us to nearby locations where we photograph the scenic beauty of Northern New Mexico before returning to The Workshops state-of-the-art digital lab to process and print our images using Epson printers, inks, and papers.
During digital lab sessions we customize a processing and printing workflow, employing Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop in conjunction with the latest generation archival pigment printers. In-depth discussions cover topics such as choosing your hardware and software, color management, display calibration, media profiles, archival paper types and ink compatibility, storage and handling of fine art prints, printer maintenance, and troubleshooting of common printing problems. You print your own images on selected paper types to assess the output quality and characteristics of different media.
Join Tony as he shares his expert knowledge and assists you in complementing your photographic vision with the know-how to create exhibition-quality photographic prints.
