Artifacts, Flowers & Beeswax

Fun-filled 1 day photo and encaustic workshop. For everyone, from novice to seasoned pro. Whether you use a smart phone, point-and-shoot or professional camera. We start out in the morning photographing objects like vibrant flowers, wooden doorways, quirky relics and many other hodgepodge details during a stroll down famous Canyon Road and art community. Professional photographer, Angel Wynn, will be your tutor giving tips and techniques while participants capture digital treasures. The afternoon will involve learning an ancient Encaustic process of applying layers of bees wax to photographs mounted onto wooden art-boards with cradle. Using creative tools, the Encaustic process will make your photo into a piece of artwork that’s ready to hang. Each participant will create two pieces of artwork using their Santa Fe photographs with the application of beeswax. All materials are included.

Cost:  $195 for 8 hours includes materials / Artist/photographer, Angel Wynn, is available to work one-on-one with individuals or workshops that are half day, full day and two day.
