Combining the art of writing + the technology of the internet, BLOGSHOP is an interactive, hands-on, weekend blogging workshop. You will purchase a hosting package, install WordPress on your self-hosted site, learn the WordPress interface, and receive valuable instruction on choosing your market, deciding on a domain name and connecting your blog to your audience via social  media. IT professionals are on hand to help you through the process.

Presenter and professional blogger Melissa J White is a founding member of six-figure blogger David Risley’s Inner Circle and is eMarketing Coordinator at Sotheby’s International Realty in Santa Fe. She has won awards for her writing and marketing design and has helped entrepreneurs, writers, realtors and artists start their own blogs.

Blogshop helps support both the artistic and technological history of Santa Fe, and is part of the Santa Fe Complex’s mission to encourage collaboration among artists, scientists, and technologists, allowing new ways of thinking and creating to emerge.

Note: Blogshop is not a beginning computer class; you need to know how to connect your laptop to a wireless network, surf the Web, and cut and paste URLs.
