Hand Papermaking Workshops

Handmade paper is an ancient art form.
It is the practice of transforming raw
materials into something tangible and useful.
The art of papermaking is
impermanent yet consistent.
Visceral yet practical.
Magical.

Discover the art of papermaking.Encourage your childlike creativity and wonder  to emerge during a day-long workshop for artists and creators. Wabi-sabi, the quintessential Japanese aesthetic, the beauty of things modest and humble, will be the thread that weaves through our creative process. The day will begin with an art-talk and demonstration. Learn how to process kozo, the bark of the paper  mulberry and make beautiful sheets of washi to take home at the end of the day.

$145 per class includes supplies and taxes. Small group discounts and gift  certificates available. Suitable for beginners as well as experienced papermakers.
