Come and be part of a growing group of people practicing this Brazilian art form of martial art, dance, exercise, music, and fun. Build strength and flexibility in your body, cunning and trickery in your game, learn the Portuguese songs and play the instruments like the berimbau, atabaque, pandeiro, and agogo bells.

Join Andrew at Baca Street Pottery for this fun, all-levels workshop in wheel throwing. Andrew has taught pottery workshops all over the world, and his extensive experience and expertise will help even the most novice students to have fun making actual pots on the wheel.

Join Annie at Santa Fe’s Georgia O’Keeffe Museum for this workshop inspired by the museum’s latest exhibit, “Modernism Made in New Mexico.” Create your own unique painting in just two hours!
- Thursday, March 26: Santa Fe Photo-Intensive Workshop, with Don Kirby
Take your photography to the next level! Photo-Intensive workshops are tailored to the specific desires of a limited number of participants, working with Don Kirby for a day or more of concentrated photography. As the only student, or working with a small number of partners, you define the subjects, techniques, and materials to be covered during the workshop and also the pace of instruction.
- Friday, March 27: Sketching & Painting Santa Fe, with Jane Shoenfeld
Would you like to share memories and celebrate new experiences through art and creativity? Join Jane Shoenfeld’s Art Adventures in the Southwest and give the gift of art to you and your friends and family. Grandmothers and grandchildren, family reunions and those traveling solo are all welcome. The class is appropriate for all levels of experience, from total beginner to professional artist. All materials supplied. Acclaimed landscape painter and sought after teacher, Jane Shoenfeld will work with you to create a personal piece of art work that reflects your experience of Santa Fe. Classes are designed to be both educational and fun.
- Saturday, March 28: Encaustic Painting: Working on Paper, with Ellen Koment
This two-day workshop with award-winning artist Ellen Koment will emphasize working on paper, a very absorbent, available and useful surface for encaustic painting. A variety of interesting techniques will be covered, including image transfer, pouring, layering and mark making. Ellen will introduce new water based encaustics, and using encaustic in conjunction with other water based media. Students will explore a number of mark making techniques. Paper is wonderful ground for encaustic, absorbent and readily available. This workshop is suitable for artists new to encaustic, as well as experienced encaustic artists wanting to learn variety of new techniques.
