The focus of this class is Chinese painting.
This traditional method of painting is done with a brush dipped in black or colored ink; the most popular materials on which paintings are made are rice paper and silk. The finished work can be mounted on scrolls or framed.
Ink and wash painting, in Chinese Shui-mo or also loosely termed watercolor or brush painting. This style is also referred to as “xie yi” or freehand style, which Ming is teaching in this class.
She will guide you step by step. Subjects include:
Bamboo, Orchid, Chrysanthemum, Plum blossoms, Iris, Peony, Wisteria, Lotus blossoms, Camellia, Roses, etc…. each week a new subject.

This class will meet once a month, on the third Sunday, September-May. Art League Members $35 per class. Non-members $45 per class. A one-time $10 registration fee is required when you register for the first class. You may register and pay for one class at a time or as many as you like.
