Offering plein-aire pastel, graphite, or watercolor/gouache painting on location in beautiful Santa Fe parks. Also offering: Printmaking (including relief printing, etching, or monoprints on a printing press) or oil painting in artist’s studio. Workshops can be private, or for two to three participants. Workshops for parent-child art experience.
$50 (1 hour) – $250 (3 hours), all high quality materials included. Discounts available for 2 or more participants (Max 3 students).
My experience: I am Chair, of Visual Arts at Desert Academy where I have taught for 7 years, grades 7-12. I teach drawing, painting, ceramics, printmaking, art history, sculpture, and mixed media.
I have taught many camps for over 30 years including “After school “Kids at Risk” for 7 years for the Missoula Art Museum, and many school groups as an Artist In the Schools (25 years throughout the state of Montana), for the National Endowment for the Arts in the “Stories Project” (on Native American reservations throughout Montana), and at the YMCA (Billings).
In Santa Fe I taught at the Santa Fe Art Institute and FACT at the Barn and at Zona Del Sol (summer 2012). I have also taught many group and private students for over 30 years and Home Schooled students in Point Arena, (Mendocino) CA.
I hold a Masters in Painting and in Drawing from Purdue University. Over 100 of my works is included in Museums throughout the US and I am the recipient of the Gottlieb Foundation Fellowship ($20,000) and numerous other awards.
Currently, 18 of my paintings are being used in a movie set, “Jubilee”. Beginning April 25 I will be exhibiting in the new Santa Fe “Wheelhouse Gallery”.
