Private Voice Lessons with Stephanie Hatfield

Stephanie Hatfield is a singer, songwriter, guitar player, music teacher and recording artist in Santa Fe. Originally from the Detroit area, Stephanie began performing 30 years ago including earning top scores at state and national competitions throughout junior high and high school as well as touring Europe at the age of 16. A scholarship paved the way for a degree in Classical Voice Performance and Jazz at Michigan State University after which she moved out west and began performing Broadway including the leading role in Cabaret, Chicago, Evita, Oklahoma and Phantom of the Opera. Simultaneously Stephanie began writing music and expanding her performance career with rock and Americana bands.

She has received numerous awards throughout her career as a musician including Santa Fe’s Best Female Vocalist, Best Songwriter, Best New Band & Best Rock Band. Stephanie is the lead singer, songwriter and rhythm guitar player for Stephanie Hatfield and Hot Mess, currently recording their 3rd album between national touring dates. She also plays guitar for Bill Palmer’s TV Killers and records with a variety of other musicians at Frogville Studio.

Stephanie has been teaching music for over 10 years in Santa Fe including Santa Fe Performing Arts, La Mariposa Montessori and private lessons. She focuses on customized lesson plans for all levels and styles including classical, rock, jazz, Broadway, pop, Americana, country and folk. Specialties include breathing and vocal technique, vocal performance, music theory, song writing, basic guitar and piano.
