ABRACADABRA ….
…a workshop exploring the myths, METHODS, meaning, & making of art & craft
(ab’ra-ka-dab’ra) n. or v.; Hebrew phrase; 1.“I create what I speak”; 2.a “magic spell”

This workshop concerns itself with helping its participants come to understand more fully, the “nature of humankind”, and how that “nature” is the fundamental foundation for consciousness and individual meaning…the personal impetus for “getting us through the day”. It’s the impetus for truths, illusions, and
counterfeits…for “right doing” and for “wrong doing”… for child rearing, for socializing, for education, money-making, politics, religion…and in the context of this workshop, our embodiment and interface with … “the making of art & craft”.

…if you were to become a “workshop participant”…you could expect to delve into the
following topics and experiences designed to help you, “know your rhythm”, to “get your
gallop back”, to lose your mind, and come to your senses”, “to be”, and… to become a
“human…’being’ ”…in a fuller sense:

• The Basic Nature of Humankind
• Primal Fear
• Courage
• Nurturing, Child Rearing, and Education
• Perception, Consciousness, & the Psychology of Art
• Impetus, Variations, Methods, in Art/Craft
• Embodiment vs. Schema, & Illustration in Art/Craft
• Design, Process, & Materials in Art & Craft
• Art/Craft, as Experience vs. Art/Craft, as Commodity
